About the event

Chaired by: Oliver Grievson and Rich Bragg

Continuous Water Quality Monitoring is now central to how the UK water industry prepares for, delivers, and evidences compliance under Section 82. This focused SWIG workshop brings together water companies, regulators and solution providers to share practical updates, lessons learned and emerging approaches to monitoring across networks and at final effluent.

The morning session will cover Section 82 updates from across the sector, offering insight into current progress, challenges, data strategies and what early implementation is revealing in practice. A live panel discussion and audience Q&A will follow, exploring themes such as data confidence, quality assurance, supply chain readiness and operational delivery.

In the afternoon, the focus moves to CWQM in final effluent, exploring methods, operational experience, sensor performance and how continuous datasets are informing compliance and optimisation decisions.

This workshop is designed for anyone involved in instrumentation, regulation, asset management, data assurance, or the practical delivery of continuous water quality monitoring across wastewater treatment and networks.

Confirmed attendance from: United Utilities, Wessex Water, Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent, Northumbrian Water and Anglian Water.
