About the event

Sponsored by ABB:

This workshop will focus on the topic of selection, installation, operation, and maintenance of sensors in the water industry, including the impact on instrument uncertainty. This event will bring together experts from various fields to discuss the latest developments and challenges in maintaining and operating sensors in the water sector.

One of the key themes of the workshop will be exploring the key points of ensuring the correct selection and installation of the sensor for the specific water/wastewater applications. Presenters will discuss their experiences and discuss any pain points they have experienced and how they overcame potential implications of a poor installation and the impact that his would have had on the process measurement.

Another important theme of the workshop will be best practices for sensor maintenance. Presenters will discuss the importance of regular calibration and cleaning of sensors, as well as strategies for prolonging the lifespan of sensors. Additionally, the workshop will cover the various challenges and considerations involved in deploying sensors in remote or harsh environments.

A final theme of the workshop will be dealing with instrument data uncertainty. Presenters will discuss methods to quantify and manage uncertainty in sensor measurements, the effects of sensor uncertainty on data quality, and the importance of understanding and communicating uncertainty when using sensor data for decision making.

There will also be an opportunity in the afternoon to tour the ABB facility.

This workshop will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to learn about the latest developments and best practices for installing, operating and maintaining sensors in the water industry, as well as to network with experts in the field. We look forward to welcoming you to the workshop and discussing the important topic of sensor operation and maintenance in the water industry.
