About the event

Section 82 of the Environment Act requires Water and Wastewater companies to monitor and publish in near real time levels of key determinants within our waterbodies evidencing the impact of our discharging assets upon the environment.

The PR24 and PR29 WINEP objectives clearly outline the desired outcomes of these deliverables along with regulators acknowledgement that measurement of inland complex, estuarine and coastal water bodies will be exceptionally challenging in the form of investigation drivers.

Northumbrian Water (NWL) along with their key partners are delivering Kingfisher a world-first solution in water quality monitoring, building extensive data sets at scale using drones.   Over the past two years, Northumbrian Water (NWL)  have explored an innovative approach to this challenge. To fully understand the current capabilities and practicalities of incorporating both SONDE and drone technology as an alternative solution offering.

This webinar will share the journey from our initial desk-based feasibility study to the full-scale deployment in the River Coquet estuary and nearby coastal waters, while also providing a forward-looking vision. We invite you to collaborate with us as we shape a sustainable future for the UK water sector, exchanging insights and building a shared path forward.
