We're delighted to share that the W-CRF, a Special Interest Group within SWIG, has entered into a Community Impact Partnership with the International Critical Control Rooms Alliance (ICCRA).

Established to bring water companies together to share knowledge, experience and best practice in control room operations, the W-CRF plays an important role in encouraging collaboration across the water industry.

This new partnership offers an exciting opportunity to extend that collaboration beyond the water sector, drawing on the experiences of other critical service providers around the world, while sharing the expertise and challenges of the water industry with a much wider community.

Lee Bryce, Vice Chair of the W-CRF said “We are delighted to have entered into a Community Impact Partnership with the International Critical Control Rooms Alliance.  Both organisations have a common mission to share best practice and solve common challenges together so there is a natural fit.  Water is a critical service and working with the ICCRA helps us to achieve our aims of expanding our learning with other sectors globally including the emergency services; airports, ports and other utilities to name just a few.  The ICCRA Congress has reinforced how many of the challenges and opportunities are common across sectors and in the vastly changing world of Water Control Rooms we can take a lot of learning from others who ultimately provide critical support to the same communities."

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this partnership together. We look forward to seeing the opportunities it creates for W-CRF members, SWIG and the wider water industry!
