Are you an early-stage business or start-up developing sensor-based technology for the water sector? Do you have a product, innovation, or concept that deserves a spotlight?
We’re inviting a small number of start-ups to take part in a brand-new session at Sensing in Water 2025, designed to support innovation and spark collaboration across the industry.
Pitch & Progress: Innovation Clinic for the Water Sector will give selected participants the opportunity to deliver a short, punchy 10-minute presentation in front of a live audience of water professionals, experts and potential collaborators. Your idea can be fully developed, in testing, or even still at the concept stage — this is a supportive space to share your work and gather feedback.
Presentations will be followed by informal discussion with a panel of SWIG Board members, who will offer constructive suggestions, share insight and help identify next steps or opportunities. Whether you're looking to refine your value proposition, test sector relevance or simply raise your visibility, this session is here to help you move forward.
Who Should Apply?
Start-ups or early-stage businesses working on sensor technologies or sensor-enabled solutions specifically for the water or wastewater sector
Projects involving monitoring, data collection, AI, or decision support, where sensors are a key component
Innovators who want feedback on how their sensor-based technology could be applied in water environments
Anyone with a sensor-focused concept looking for input from experienced professionals in the water industry
Why Take Part?
Present your work to a water-tech-focused audience
Build connections with potential collaborators, funders and customers
Gain live, tailored feedback from professionals in the field
The session is expected to take place on the morning of Wednesday 24 September 2025 (Day 1 of the conference), in the Stephenson Room at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough.
If you’d like to take part, please email info@swig.org.uk with a short paragraph about your innovation and what you’d like to present. Spaces are limited, and we’d love to hear from you.
