SiW25 Reflections: Thank You and Looking Ahead

It’s hard to believe that Sensing in Water 2025 was already a month ago. After a busy few weeks since the conference, we are delighted to share some highlights and say a huge thank you to everyone who made the event such a success.

Over two packed days in Loughborough, we heard inspiring keynotes, took part in our first parallel interactive workshops, explored a bustling exhibition, celebrated early career researchers, and enjoyed reconnecting with colleagues across the sector at the gala dinner. The energy, enthusiasm and collaboration throughout SiW25 reminded us why this community is so so special.

You can now read a SiW25 summary and view photos from the event on our highlights page: www.swig.org.uk/siw25highlights. Presentations in PDF format will also be uploaded to the website shortly, so do check back soon.

What’s next?

  • We are finalising details of our upcoming workshops and events, which will be listed on the website over the coming weeks.

  • Tickets for these events will available soon.

  • If you are interested in speaking at a SWIG event or would like to explore sponsorship opportunities, please get in touch with Hannah at info@swig.org.uk

Looking ahead

Thank you once again to our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and delegates for being part of SiW25. Your support, enthusiasm and expertise made it an event to remember. We cannot wait to see you at our upcoming workshops and, of course, at the next Sensing in Water conference.

Finally... because no SWIG Gala Dinner is complete without a Survivors photo. Here’s to those who made it through to 1am!

The post “SiW25 Reflections: Thank You and Looking Ahead” truly highlights the importance of collaboration and continuous learning within the scientific community. It reminded me how valuable academic editing help services are for UK students like me. Recently, I had an assignment writing task at my university, and to ensure quality and clarity, I reached out to Academic Editors. Their scientific paper language editing support really improved my work, making my research more polished and professional.
